Dr. Thankappan is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with more than 40 years of clinical, academic, and teaching experience. An alumnus of Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, he has served in various academic roles since 1979.
He has held senior leadership positions in India and abroad and has made significant contributions to clinical gastroenterology, public health, and academic literature. He is currently serving as Senior Consultant and Chief of Gastroenterology at Ananthapuri Hospitals & Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram.
