Dr. M. K. Ajayakumar is a distinguished Paediatric Surgeon and former Professor & Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery. He has also served as an internal and external examiner for MCh Paediatric Surgery for KUHS and other universities across India.

He is a former Principal of Government Medical College, Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram, and has held key administrative responsibilities including Chairman of the Organ Transplantation Committee. Dr. Ajayakumar is widely respected for his expertise in complex paediatric surgical procedures, advanced endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, and paediatric oncosurgery.
