Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute observed the world heart day with a mega cardiac check camp which was attended over 150 people.
The World Heart Day functions was inaugurated by Head of Cardio Vascular Centre Dr C.G. Bahuleyan.
In connection with world heart day activities Ananthapuri hospitals and Christ nagar school kowdiar conducted a walkathon at kanakakunnu palace premises at 5pm. The event was flag off by Sri. P. Ananthapuri Hospital had a multi faceted reach out to fight the floods.
Massive medical support at flood site and offsite camps in various districts were conducted while employee groups made resource contributions at collection points.
AHRI will continue its support of human and financial resources in the rehabilitation and rebuilding efforts of the state.

Cardiology department in the new wing will witness the addition of Cardiac Electrophysiology program capable of Radio-Frequency Ablation of complex heart rhythm disorders and implantation of pacemaker-defibrillators and Cardiac Re-synchronization Therapy for heart failure.
Nephrology and Urology Department offers Kidney Transplantation program for adults and children. The department also offers laser therapy for kidney stone treatment.

A two day workshop and conference on Emergency Medicnine was organised by Ananthapuri Hospitals in association with Society for MEmergency Medicine India. The conference was inaugurated by Shri Venkitesh IPS and presided by prof Dr A Marthanda Pillai, Chairman and Managing Director,Ananthapuri Hospitals
2nd Annual Workshop and Conference was organised un der the leadership of Dr Shiju Stanley, HOD, Emergency Medicine, Ananthapuri Hospitals and the event was attended by more than 200 doctors from South India.
The academic feast featured talks on advances in emergency medicine, critical care and trauma by national faculty. Hands-on training on ACLS, BLS, Airway management etc was also enhanced.

The theme of the event was 'Kidney diseases in children'; recognizing the prevalence and need of awareness about kidney diseases in children, the ISN has chosen “Kidney Diseases & Children – Act early to prevent it” as the theme for 2016 and AHRI being the first center to initiate Paediatric Nephrology unit in the private sector in Kerala.
The scientific event was organised under the leadership of Dr Lekha Hrishikeshan – The first Paediatric Nephrologist in Kerala; Consultant, Ananthapuri Hospitals The event was inaugurated by Prof.Dr MKC Nair, Vice Chancellor, KUHS and was presided by Prof. Dr Kasi Visweswaran, Senior Nephrologist, AHRI. The CME highlighted basic as well as recent advances in the management of kidney diseases with lectures, discussions and interactive case presentations.
AHRI organised a Walkathon on 25th September 2016, to mark World Heart Day to promote awareness about heart health with the message "Power your life .....love your heart".
The Walkathon was flagged off at Kanakakunnu in the morning by Dr M Beena IAS (Managing Director, KINFRA) Dr. C G Bahuleyan (Chairman, cardio Vascular Centre, AHRI). A hearty couple walk competition was conducted of which participation was from Korea too.
Dr Anand Marthanda Pillai, Director and Interventional Cardiologist, AHRI addressed the delegates on “Significance of Quality Hospitals in Wellness tourism” in an event" Health and Wellness Tourism 2016" expo held at Taj Vivanta, Thiruvananthapuram for which Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute was the principal sponsor. Expo was inaugurated by the honourable Governor of Kerala - Shri. P.Sathasivam.”.
